Dighton Beyond the Book

All are invited to participate in the Library's special Tricentennial book discussion groups on Saturday, January 21st at 1:00 PM. Planned in conjunction with the Dighton Intertribal Council, each month will feature books that were chosen to represent a different theme connected to Dighton's history - with special focus on Native American perspectives, culture and tradition.  Each month will feature specific titles for children, teens and adults, as well as a Suggested Reading List that will allow participants to explore themes in more detail.  January's theme is Who We Were.  Books that were selected show how life was for the Wampanoag nation before European settlers joined them in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

On Going: Tot Time:  Songs, finger-plays, short books, and parachute time for toddlers under the age of three. We will be singing songs that have the kids clapping, jumping and moving along. Registration is NOT required.  All toddlers are welcome to drop in and check out this fun program.  Monday & Saturdays 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM
